Yoga
My yoga practice started over ten years ago. I wanted to find more flexibility in my body after years of running and lifting weights. Yoga made my physical body more flexible. The greatest gift yoga provides is flexibility of mind and spirit. As a teacher, I seek to create a space for your expansion and flexibility. The classes I teach are for anyone interested in finding more peace and balance in their life. Each class is a bit different, but the vibe will consistently be earthy and eco-conscious vinyasa style yoga. I hope you'll join the PNW Yoga Collective, a space for love, unity, and healing.

The Science

MORE ON LINKEDIN
The research I am most interested in the connection points between humans and wildlife. Finding ways (with scientific data) to provide solutions to the challenges we face to preserve species and their habitat along side a growing human population. There is an exponential loss of habitat that is happening worldwide and coexistence is essential for increasing the success of biodiversity conservation efforts.

Some of the questions I ponder:
Where will animals go when their habitat is no longer available due to climate change?

How do we preserve space in areas that wildlife animals desire to live among the growing human population?

When will humans decide the value of biodiversity is more important than our expanding population and work to balance the remaining habitat and resources to be available for all?

How do we nurture our relationships with urban wildlife and coexist with them and each other?

Researching ways to co-create a better world, intertwining kindness and compassion for others into the tapestry of life.

Photo-Storyteller

All over the world, every place humans trek there is a deep rooted history connecting the loss of biodiversity to the presence of human. The need to document wildlife observations through art and science is necessary to understand how animals interact in their environment, with each other, and with prey or predators. And sometimes with us.

One image can create many perspectives of the world. Lessons from wildlife are abound while making photographic stories, these lessons can be used to connect humans to habitats, species, and foster a sense of belonging in new places or even a person's backyard.

The job of a wildlife conservation photo-storyteller is to document observations through photography and written expression. Through this artistic and scientific work, all humans can share these stories as their own perspectives and the story of the wildlife continues on.

Trekking and exploring with my camera is always fun. I enjoy working with non-profits with wildlife conservation missions to capture how humans are making a better world for wildlife. Connect with me on LinkedIn.
